First Touch Soccer offers a variety of soccer training for youth soccer players in the Wichita area. Whether it’s your first time playing soccer and you are trying to learn the basics or you are an experienced player trying to expand your game, First Touch Soccer has a game plan for you. Our plan is to improve your overall technique by helping you understand HOW to do the technique, WHERE to do it and WHEN to do it.

MEET THE COACH

 

Dylan Gruntzel

Dylan Gruntzel started First Touch Wichita Soccer in 2019 with the idea of increasing training options for youth soccer players in the Wichita area. He has over 14 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, and college level.

He moved up the coaching ladder becoming the Head Coach for both the boys and girls program at Wichita East High School, leading the boys to their first outright Greater Wichita Athletic League Title and first ever Final Four Appearance in school history along with back to back regional titles in 2013 and 2014.

In 2017, he lead the Wichita East High School girls program to its first Final Four appearance since 2004, and in 2018, their first Greater Wichita Athletic League title since 2004. They also won back to back regional titles in 2017 and 2018.

Gruntzel spent one year on the staff of the men’s and women’s programs at Friends University (NAIA) assisting with goalkeepers and the junior varsity squad. Additionally, he served as the lead Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach and Goalkeeper Coach at Newman University (NCAA Division 2) from February 2016 - January 2020.

He is the current Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Bethany College (NAIA) located in Lindsborg, Kansas.
